about lisa

Charismatic…down to earth…motivational…empowering…beautiful inside and out.  These are just a few of the words people use to describe Lisa Dean.

But to Lisa she just is who she is and she strives to make a difference in the lives of others.

It wasn’t until she was a guest host for a fundraiser that she had her “ah ha” moment. After she finished speaking, audience members approached Lisa and said, “This is what you should be doing as a career.”

Three years later she has taken it to heart and now moves to change other people’s hearts as well.

From the minute people meet Lisa they see her zest for life and her passion for empowering others. Through her work as a writer and speaker she shares her philosophy that it’s all about choices in life. How you view your life, how you wish your life, and how you live your life.  It’s not enough to just have a dream, that’s just the first step.  You need to put those dreams into action.  Then you will see the results.

For Lisa, our life is the only one we’ve got.  Why not make it worth living and one worth talking about when we leave it.

We all have dreams; some may be packed away in the memory of our mind.  Take them out, Proclaim the dream, believe in order to achieve. Equip yourself to be prepared when opportunity comes knocking, then use it and your talents to make a difference in this world.  It’s up to you!

During her recent trip to South Africa, Lisa saw up close the devastation of global poverty and AIDS.  The experience was life changing and Lisa chronicled it in writing and on video.  “It was a trip that changed my way of thinking and way of living”, Lisa says.   “There’s an important lesson to teach my children and all children and that is we can make a difference, one person at a time.”

Lisa Dean received her degree in radio and television and has worked on both the local and national level in the broadcast media. She speaks to groups of thousands and is a published freelance writer.

Lisa her husband and two children live outside Chicago and take weekly trips just to get their “city fix”. She is very involved with her church, Willow Creek Community Church.  Other organizations that Lisa supports are Lifespring Womens Shelter, Easter Seals, World Vision, Bright Hope, Global Poverty and AIDS and holds a seat on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club.
